Rewilding isn’t just for sprawling nature reserves, it’s a movement everyone can take part in, from urban planners to balcony gardeners to community activists. Climate Action North’s CPD-accredited course, ‘Rewilding, Nature, and Us,’ is sharing the knowledge and tools individuals and organisations need to take direct action to support nature.

Climate Action North has announced new dates for its Rewilding Roadshow, designed to inspire and empower communities across the North of England to take action for nature right where they live. These stops are part of the ongoing effort to grow the North East Rewilding Network and support community-led rewilding initiatives.

Climate Action North has kicked off a new project to grow youth-led community rewilding across the North of England. The Young Rewilders Networking Group (YOUNG) is now up and running, with initial committee members ready to lead and build the network as part of the wider North East Rewilding Network (NERN).

Climate Action North is taking the North East Rewilding Network (NERN) on tour, thanks to fresh funding from Rewilding Britain.  This new support will help the network grow as it enters its second year, bringing rewilding inspiration directly to communities across the region. 

Climate Action North works year-round to protect the environment, connect communities, and restore nature through rewilding. Every June, it ramps up efforts with Green June, a month packed with events and activities to inspire and inform people on ways to take climate action. For 2025, it’s returning with a supercharged line-up of events, building on the success of previous years and inspiring even more people to get involved.

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is working with Climate Action North to create spaces that benefit both people and wildlife across five hospital sites, as part of community rewilding efforts.

MetroCentre, the North East’s popular shopping and entertainment destination, has teamed up with social enterprise Climate Action North to advance its green initiatives.
